FitBit allows people to use JavaScript to develop and publish apps on some of their watches. I was not as happy as I could be with the list of watch faces they offered, so why not make my own?
Use Git to clone the repository and Node/NPM to run the application.
git clone https://github.com/victoriousj/fitbit-miami/- Install the FitBit app on your phone
- Open FitBit Studio online (you will need a free FitBit account)
- Create new Empty Project
- Drag-and-drop project files into project directory
- Connect your phone to your computer and make sure it is in file-transfer mode
- Enable Developer Options within the app
- Enable Developer Bridge on the watch
- Select your phone and your watch within FitBit Studio
- Build project
- Run project
- SUCCESS!!
