Zoom app does not give the option for Virtual Backgrounds

Launching the Zoom app from Wavebox does not provide the option for virtual backgrounds:

Using Ungoogled Chromium, the options are available:

It's suggested here that the Virtual Backgrounds option may only be available for some browsers. As I understand that Wavbebox is a Chromium-based browser, I would have expected this to work. Perhaps there are some settings that need to be changed on the Wavebox app, but I could not find any. I did try to turn off hardware acceleration in Wavebox, just in case, but it had no effect.

So I'm left with not being able to use the Zoom web app through Wavebox. As the Zoom desktop app is awful on Linux, I would prefer that not to be a solution.

From what I can see, they're doing some client hint matching and looking specifically for Chrome.

We've already had to change the UserAgent strings to match Chrome as sites have been misusing this to browser detect rather than feature detect. Client hints were "supposed" to fix the whole UserAgent spoofing needed to make the web work, but it looks like it's going to be the same story.

Let me do some experimentation - I think worst case scenario here is we'll have to say we're Chrome again

Yeah, my hunch was right. I'll put a fix in - it'll probably head out with M144 now in early Jan
