I want to help you figure out how to fund the development and continuous maintainance of Rust itself, whether that's via contracting, employment, or donations. While I am currently already working on Rust full-time as a contractor, I deeply care about enabling other maintainers as well. I also want to better understand whether and how companies would like to fund open source more generally.

I am working on the Rust programming language and am co-lead of the types team, a member of the compiler team, and team lead of the trait system refactor initiative and the const generics project group.
