Kiosk hardware options

What requirements does the kiosk have and what hardware do we have that would potentially address them?

Potential requirements:

• Run a web client to access the kiosk homepage on a web server elsewhere
• Host AV for meetings
• Touchscreen interface

Potential hardware:

• Pi3 - space
• Pi zero2w - anyone?
• NUC - pbgben
• SFF PC - pbgben
• All in one PC on cleanroom desk

@pbgben @sam57719 @abrugsch @Tyler-Ward Is there a good reason for having a separate machine to the 3d printing machine for kiosk functionality? Thinking physical space and running costs.

Thoughts against:

• Kiosk wouldn't be available when 3d printing was happening
• Might want to separate functions for reliability
• Touchscreen support.

I think an additional system dedicated to this job would be best, it can be more available than the space PC and could also be set to sleep to save power. Wake on touch or motion)

The vision for this before was to have it where the current screen is next to the internal door. It would also need to replace the current tag adoption interface. I believe this is just a simple DB check for matching pin, and adding the card ID?

The screen should have an interface , webpage or app, that has menus for all the things inside the space.

Ideas"

• Printing labels for projects and other things from a list of templates.
• Screen savers that show things like common rules and notices (like a digital sign)
• Control blinds
• See stats from air quality
• See power stats?
• See space use by day/hour etc (that graph Craig? posted)
• Report issues button(anonymously)
• 3D Print stats, like whats printing, and time remaining.
• Add on a USB card reader and we can;
• Add cards to members by pin
• Interact with snack space
• Unlock tools?? (Old AC Node ideas - Simple with Shelly/Sonoff/Tasmota/ESPhome)

Manually mentioning some comments on the old issue as I didn't know about migrate.
Is there a NUC the space?
Should we consider the all in one pc on the white table, what is it used for otherwise? Don't think it has a touchscreen though.
