How can I get workspace.package info in a workspace-level build task?

I tried this

[tasks.getver]
workspace = false

echo ${CARGO_MAKE_PROJECT_VERSION}
echo ${CARGO_MAKE_PROJECT_NAME}
'''

Project name can be printed but CARGO_MAKE_PROJECT_VERSION can not.

And I checked the source code:

cargo-make/src/lib/environment/crateinfo.rs

Lines 53 to 60 in 809b2fa

This structrue doesn't has package field so no wonder I can't get the workspace.package.version from Cargo.toml.

the type you mentioned is only used for workspace member handling while the full type is defined in the types.rs and does have packageinfo data.
however package info is at root of cargo.toml package and not under cargo.toml workspace.package
