Let's investigate why the GitHub auto-merge isn't completing after being enabled by Renovate. The issue is likely either a stale branch or a failing status check. |

How are you running Renovate?
Self-hosted Renovate
If you're self-hosting Renovate, tell us which platform (GitHub, GitLab, etc) and which version of Renovate.
Github - Renovate v11.4.0-full
Please tell us more about your question or problem
When configuring
:automergeMinor:Expectation: Renovate PRs would auto merge.
Actual: Renovate self-approves PRs and enables auto-merge but doesn't merge them.
My work around is to enable
lockFileMaintenance:Then Renovate is able to actually merge the PRs.
I dug into the relevant source code but couldn't find any bug in the logic. Is this expected?
PS: Renovate is allowed to bypass PR branch checks.
