I'm also very annoyed by this exact issue. Is there a way to fix this?

Same issue when using Magic Trackpad 3 from apple. It's OK when using the build-in touch pad.

And beside this issue, Trackpad is too sensitive that when my finger leaves the pad, the cursor can suddenly change the position. And when I click the pad, the cursor changes the position too, so it's very hard to click anything.
