Get card instance index among its series

I could not find in the docs if there is a possibility to get the card instance index among its series.
I mean : if I set a card with a count of 10, I'd like to have a value from 0 to 9 (or 1 to 10) in the templates, something like card._index

Is it already possible ?

If the card shows different data, for all intents and purposes it is a different card. Copies are only for exact copies with no differences in data.

If the cards are completely identical except for the index of the card within the series, do you really need to show 1/6, 2/6, 3/6, 4/6, .... What I've done in the past (example below) is inform the player there are 6 copies of this card in the deck and I just have 1/6 printed on each of them. The players know that there are 6 of this card available to them, but the cards themselves don't need to be different.

I thought about that a little and a scripting or sequence syntax associated with a card could be something useful for this kind of need, what do you think?
Something taking the card data, and its index, returning a numeric (to make customized sequences) or string value (to build image name for example)

You can take the cards.csv file of your deck and open it up in a program like Google Sheets. Define all your card data there quickly (with equations, fill, etc.), save/export as csv, import back into Cider.

What you're describing is procedural data generation. Most Cider (and card designers in general) are more comfortable with a static card dataset (like a spreadsheet). There are already automations within spreadsheet software for defining large amounts of data with patterns quickly that can serve most use-cases.

Cider provides control logic for defining the template of the cards, but not for defining the data itself. Adding that sort of feature will confuse many users or just never be used--at least that is my thinking.

I am however in the process of evaluating options for changing the card data editor into something that works more like a spreadsheet (with automation, fill, etc.) so that large data can easily be added/edited quickly within Cider itself.
