Hi, thanks for this awesome tool! This is the best tiling window experience I've tried on MacOS. Coming from i3 on Linux, there are a few key features I think would really push this tool to near perfect parity with i3, ordered by how useful I think they would be. Please let me know if these features already exist and I haven't enabled them properly. Since discussions are meant to be precursors to issues in the repo, it might be nice to have a centralized "i3 parity roadmap" if that's a goal for the project, to collect these and any other outstanding issues to get the two tools aligned.
Major Feature Requests
These are major suggestions that would greatly elevate the AeroSpace experience compared to i3, in my opinion.
workspace_auto_back_and_forth. I know themod + tabdefault can jump back to previous workspace, but in i3 I use the "double tap workspace to jump back" constantly when I'm quickly flicking over to another workspace to check something, and then want to return to my work, with minimal finger movement on the keyboard.focus left, etc based on monitor layout. I'm not sure how difficult this is to implement, but in i3 it's great to have e.g. ws1 on the left and ws2 on the right, and jump between them withfocus left/right, or even throw windows across monitors with these and not needing to know the corresponding workspace name.Small Improvements (similar to i3)
These are minor things I've found inconvenient (or even arguably bugs in some cases) compared to the i3 experience.
on-focus-changed = ['move-mouse window-lazy-center']config works. In the majority of cases, that is the behavior I want, but being able to e.g. distinguish if focus is changed via a keyboard shortcut (e.g.focus leftacross a monitor) vs by following the mouse would be key to making this work smoothly. Thanks again for the tool! Excited to see how it develops further.
