Type: Performance Issue
Many users are currently facing serious billing issues with GitHub Copilot:
Payment is requested or charged
Accounts are then locked from purchases
Copilot Pro cannot be activated
Chat quota is still limited, making the service unusable
GitHub does not clearly warn users about regional billing limitations, and there is no one-time payment option for many countries.
This results in users being unable to use a paid service while having to wait days for billing support.
