When and how is the delay removed?

I usually encode the audio both in DDP and FLAC and I'd like to have the latter too DELAY clean.

When and how the DELAY read from the filename is removed?

Does it happen when decoding to wav or during encoding?

It works like this:

• If a delay is in the container relative to video (mkv, mp4, etc and the container includes a video) this will be prioritized.
• if a delay string is in the filename it will be applied during encoding and set to 0 in the filename and audio stream.
  • You'd never have a delay string in a video filename (so this should work 100% of the time) and if for some reason you did it would make sense it was ignored.
• CLI delay input overrides all automatic detection and removes the delay during encoding based on the delay string input (--delay=10ms).

Things to note:

• Filename modifications will only happen for automatically generated names via the template or by the user providing no output or template at all. No logic will be ran on modifying the filename if a user explicitly sets the filename.
• Delay detection is always ran.
• Priority is CLI > container > filename.
