Introduce a "Life Stories Generator" to Immich, leveraging locally run AI to analyze and curate user photos. This feature would compile significant life events and moments into unique stories, using metadata such as location, people, and timestamps. Additionally, a "Story of My Life" presentation option should be available, offering a comprehensive overview of the user's entire life journey.

Proposed Implementation Methods:

1. Local AI Analysis:

• Image Recognition:
  • Use machine learning models to analyze photos for contextual data (events, objects, emotions, etc.).
• Facial Recognition:
  • Implement facial recognition to identify individuals in photos, utilizing user-provided training data to enhance accuracy.
• Location Tagging:
  • Extract and interpret geolocation data embedded in the photos to map significant locations.

2. Metadata Aggregation:

• Timestamp Utilization:
  • Chronologically sort photos to understand and compile the sequence of events.
• Event Clustering:
  • Group photos by event or time period based on metadata and visual content analysis.

3. Story Generation:

  • Automatically generate narratives for each identified event or period, summarizing key activities and participants.
• Life Stories Compilation:

This feature would be significant, because even commercial companies, like Google or Apple is not offering this kind of feature in their photos applications. Understandably, the full life story feature could not be something that is running in the background by itself, as it would take a lot of computing power, but small stories of different trips and people in your life and how your life has evolved with them could be possible. For this feature to work, Immich would probably need to know who is the person using the account.
