Unread count does not refresh

I know this was handled in a few other issues but all the other ones seemed resolved.
I just installed sclack and it worked out of box as advertised. The one issue I have is the unread count seem to only be updating when I quick and re-enter the app. Or if I switch from one workspace to another.

Is there a key sequence to force a refresh? Or a way to setup an auto-refresh?
