HTML link (<a> tag) in muuri grid, opening tab/window while drag and drop items

As items in muuri grid, they can be drag and drop, also I have html <a> tag in each item element, user can click the link, then open new tab/window.

But, when drag and drop the item, after mouse released, the new tab/window opened, this is NOT expected.

How to avoid opening tab/window when drag and drop items (including html link) in muuri grid?
