Space button presses "cancel" everytime the window pops up

I was having a bunch of windows DLLs being installed in background and every time the winetricks window popped up, it was in the forefront and it was focused on the "cancel" button. So every time it popped up, i was typing something and as soon as i pressed the Space button, it pressed the "cancel" button before i realized the winetricks window popped up. I'd appreciate if you fixed this - maybe had no default button selected when the winetricks window pops up.
