Can't sign in to github account

I'm asking this here because I'm not sure if it's a bug or not.

I recently tried to sign in to my github account to push some changes to a remote branch. VSCodium asked me for a personal access token, username, and password. After I enter the password, I get an alert saying the login failed. This is the console output:

Why is it still showing the message for password authentication being removed when I also provided my persoinal access token?
