Rechecking IPP-USB support for Kyocera P6021cdn?

I came also along the situation that a software component became outdated somehow for the driver (on Linux) of my printer model “P6021cdn”.
It worked with an USB connection for a while. I hoped then that I could switch to the current technology “IPP-USB”.
Unfortunately, I observed further questionable software behaviour. I got this device working again to some degree by using the connection over an ethernet cable.
💭 I would like to know if the corresponding data processing can still be improved another bit for the USB interface.
Would an information like “bInterfaceProtocol: 2 Bidirectional” be worth for further development considerations? 🤔
