IPPEverywhere will print first page only on two tray printer

Double tray printer will print only first page if Tray 1 or Tray 2 selected, prints all pages if Automatic tray selected.
Only way to print multi page document while using automatic tray is to select print current page option and print pages one by one, or other combinations of options applications and configurations result in printing only one page

Printer should print whole documents and did so few cups updates back (about year or two ago) probably before 2.x release

Issue is not related to systems as it happens across different os

Please provide:

• Exact version of cups and cups-filters installed on your system
• Generated PPD file for your printer (/etc/cups/ppd/)
• The file you're trying to print, if it's not confidential (or find a non-confidential file with this issue)
• The job file c****** from /var/spool/cups/, the most recent would have higher number: print the document with the issue first, copy the file after printing

As well as the CUPS debug logs, which could be activated with cupsctl --debug-logging

• /var/log/cups/error_log

Could you please try to print not from Okular, but from Document Viewer (gnome's Evince, but now it's 'document viewer') for example, or from Firefox?

After that

1. Run cd /tmp; while [ 1 ]; do ls -1 | grep okular && cp okular_* copied.ps; done in the console
2. Print the document from Okular in a way that it triggers the bug
3. Press ctrl+c to terminate the command from step 1
4. Open /tmp/copied.ps

Does the document have only a single page?

Printed form libreoffice and chrome prints single page
command generated single empty page named _.ps
The issue have at least an year, printer and systems were restarted and updated numerous times during this time

Well, I don't see anything what would suggest CUPS or filter issue. The document is generated correctly, with multiple pages, they are sent to the printer, and then the printer reports that is has printed single page and goes to idle state.
The only issue there is a spool area full message from the printer.

Have you tried to print from smartphone or Windows (with Mopria/IPP driver, not using the manufacturer-provided driver) to check if the issue is in CUPS?

Windows on vbox takes forever to start but prints all pages, canon firmware is the newest at the moment but i doubt it is the problem as i did update it after printer stopped working properly not before
I suppose the problem lies within cups because it started misbehaving exactly after upgrading the system (slackware) and of course CUPS with it, but it did function properly on the other system (Kubuntu), after upgrading kubuntu some half year later, it stopped work there, then i replaced kubuntu with endeavouros either there it does its job properly

Please:

1. systemctl stop cups
2. in /etc/cups/ppd/Canon.ppd, replace *cupsFilter2: "image/urf image/urf 100 -" with *cupsFilter2: "image/pwg-raster image/pwg-raster 100 -"
3. systemctl start cups

And try to print again.

It is also worth running older Ubuntu/Kubuntu ISO in a VM (which used to work), enabling cupsctl --debug-logging, printing, and getting error_log from there.

Yes that did the trick, it is back to normal again.
May i ask what does this change do?

The change tells the print filters to produce a different raster format (PWG Raster instead of Apple Raster). As Ghostscript is getting run by the "universal" filter you are probably seeing an issue with Ghostscript's Apple Raster (URF) output device.

Just to check whether this is a regression or something other. I remember priority switching between PDF vs raster, but not URF vs PWG-Raster, so it could be either a regression or that your printer never worked with CUPS + URF to begin with.
